Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Where we fall short we would rather hear about it than not know.

What we build to

LOLBABY targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of the build rather than an audit at the end.

  • Every page is reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
  • A skip link lets keyboard users jump straight to the main content.
  • Focus is always visible, and dialogs and sheets trap focus and close on Escape.
  • Images carry meaningful alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Colour is never the only means of conveying information, and text meets AA contrast ratios.
  • Animation is reduced automatically when your system requests reduced motion.

Known limitations

Product imagery is supplied by retailers. Where a retailer provides no alternative text we write our own, but coverage depends on the catalog and we are not able to guarantee every image at all times.

Some third-party embedded video players have accessibility behaviour we do not control.

Telling us about a problem

If something on LOLBABY is difficult or impossible to use, please contact us and describe what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the assistive technology you were using. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not feature requests.
